Luz Elena Morey, MA, RDT is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association. She has a masters degree in transpersonal developmental psychology and over 35 years of training and experience with transpersonal, nature-connected drama therapy and sound healing. She has studied for decades with healers and indigenous shamans from North, Central and South America as well as Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Luz Elena (pronounced Luce el- AY-nah) brings over three decades of therapeutic experience into service to help people powerfully align with their own, personal inner wisdom and creativity.
Results: people gain awareness, confidence, clarity, vitality, positive orientation and vision. The work specializes in helping people bring their visions into action, from the inside out. (See testimonials below.)
Luz Elena's work also specializes in releasing unhealthy patterns and trauma-related emotional/mental and behavioral blocks.
Clients report experiencing more effectiveness and satisfaction in relatively few sessions. (See testimonials below.)
Inner Wisdom Therapy uses conventional as well as ancient and innovative techniques. Psycho-education and standard methods used in modern psychotherapy practice are enhanced with safe, body-centered expressive arts therapies, sound, rhythm, meridian tapping and energy work from a transpersonal, developmental and nature-allied perspective.
Trauma release work employs a variety of body-centered modalities as well as methods inspired by TFT, EFT, TAT, EMDR and other advanced meridian tapping perspectives, which are relatively fast, effective and long-lasting.
Luz Elena offers private sessions, professional development intensives and retreats for individuals and groups. Sessions are by phone and in-person at locations in central Vermont as well as in Brattleboro, Vermont, at Mahalo Art Center and other locations.
Duration: Clients usually experience satisfaction in achieving their goals within a few sessions at most. Sessions average between 1 - 3 hours. Clients who choose to do ongoing work experience shorter sessions after the initial two or three sessions. Some people choose to work with Luz Elena for years. This is encouraged as needed.
Clients: Clients come from all walks of life! Many are people who work with others in some capacity; as healers, therapists, coaches, teachers, leaders and visionaries.
Fees: Rates range between $80 - $200/hour for private sessions. Every effort is made to accommodate people in economic need. Workshops rates vary.
Clients who have been involved in years of other types of therapies often find this work immediately effective and long lasting, and a powerful adjunct to other ongoing therapeutic processes, like weekly psychotherapies.
In addition to work with therapeutic groups and private clients (in-person and by-phone), Luz Elena presents at professional conferences and facilitates retreat intensives for leaders, healers and teachers.
Luz Elena also works with babies, toddlers and young children as a movement and music specialist and has been leading teacher trainings for preschool teachers for over thirty years. She is presently creating a website and Youtube channel full of music and movement related resources for early childhood care providers. These resources would be developmentally appropriate, soulful and supportive of healthy nature-connection.
